Townsend Springs Farm is located eight miles north of Lexington, KY, on scenic Russell Cave Road,
just a few minutes from the Kentucky Horse Park. We are 20 minutes from Bluegrass Airport and within an
easy drive of the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati airport. Our farm consists of 44 rolling acres with four-board
paddocks and fields, as well as a restored barn and a new eight-stall barn. Our 120 x 240 sand and silica ring
boasts competition-quality jumps. Our adjacent jumping field offers the opportunity to train on a Grand Prix
size grass surface.
Our goal is to bring a world-class level of training to the Lexington area. We compete at the Winter Equestrian
Festival, the Kentucky Horse Park spring and summer shows, Upperville (Va.), and the Hamptons Classic, among others.
We run an organized, professional operation that focuses on the gradual development of riders and horses. One of our
main priorities is to bring horses and riders along at a pace that suits their abilities with a particular emphasis
on learning. We want our horses to be healthy, happy and sound, just like their riders.
After a long search of alternative locations, we chose to base our operations in Lexington. Not only is the area home
of the Kentucky Horse Park, but it also offers a unique blend of international equine activities centered around the
Thoroughbred industry and Keeneland. Kentucky is centrally located for traveling to horse shows in New York, Virginia
and Florida. Our farm is the result of a longstanding commitment to pursuing a lifelong dream.
